SCB Steelers Quick Hitters for May 29th, 2015

Steelers’ Rookie Bud Dupree goes one-on-one with steelers.com.

Fan favorite Heath Miller hosted his 2015 Mini-Golf Classic recently. This benefits the Salvation Army and Project Bundle-Up.

I can’t help looking at Miller and thinking, “Where did time go?” Can’t believe he’s been around for over a decade.

Tweet of the day and I couldn’t agree more…

Steelers’ Hall of Famer Mel Blount hosted the Celebrity Roast of former cornerback Dwayne Woodruff recently. This benefits Blount’s Youth Home.

Denver suffered a huge blow yesterday when Pro Bowl left tackle Ryan Clady went down with an ACL tear. The O-Line in front of Peyton Manning just got a whole lot weaker and more inexperienced. That could be a loss that changes the landscape in the AFC.

SCB writer Carlos has a piece up on the 2013 Draft Class. He nails it on Landry Jones. Whether Tajh Boyd beats him out or not doesn’t really matter. Jones’ selection in the fourth round was one of Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin’s biggest mistakes. If he doesn’t show even the slightest improvement this season he needs to be gone. Can’t waste a practice squad spot on him any longer.

I’m told one young man to keep an eye on is running back Cameron Stingily. He’s from Northern Illinois where rushed for almost 900 yards. What I like is his nose for the end zone where he found himself 13 times in 2014. I hear he’s having a really good OTA right now.

Here he is in action.

He won’t scare anyone with his speed but the kid moves piles.

Have a great weekend everyone and Go Steelers!
