SCB Steelers Quick Hitters for June 2nd 2015

by Steeldad

99 days remain until the Steelers visit the Patriots to open the 2015 NFL Season.

You probably saw Antonio Brown with the GoPro camera during the Pro Bowl. Here’s the Steelers OTA version. (courtesy steelers.com)

The Trib-Review’s Joe Starkey offered this piece on “Big Ben’s Evolution.” You’ll notice the one guy Roethlisberger gives credit to is Quarterbacks Coach Randy Fichtner who was my favorite for the offensive coordinator position before Todd Haley came aboard.

My source close to the Steelers tells me that both Senquez Golson and Doran Grant have looked great so far in OTAs. Granted, it is just “football in pajamas” but still… They are picking up things quickly.

According to ESPN Adrian Peterson has returned to Minnesota and will participate in the next OTA session with the Vikings. It’s the right move and a good move by AP. Time to move on here…

Never too old to be a fan! Tweet of the day…

Although they are sometimes necessary to create views, NFL Power Rankings drive me nuts. Power Rankings on the first of June are even worse. MMQB’s Peter King posted his yesterday and he has the Ravens in the number one spot.

Good piece by Dani Bostick over at Behind the Steel Curtain on the Patriots’ Drone Program.

Mike Tomlin is 3-6 in his last nine games against the Ravens. Read my thoughts on it here.

Go Steelers!
