SCB Steelers Quick Hitters for 12/3/15

by Steeldad

The Steelers will practice today from 1-3pm ET.

Ben Roethlisberger was a full participant in practice yesterday after he was cleared through the league’s concussion protocol. He is expected to start on Sunday night. The other concussion-related injury was to Ryan Shazier and he was a limited participant in practice. Not practicing were James Harrison (knee), Martavis Bryant (hip), Heath Miller (ribs), Matt Spaeth (knee) and Mike Mitchell Knee).

Big thanks to Mike Asti of Pens Initiative and Pittsburgh Sports Initiative for having me on his show last night. We spent a solid hour talking Steelers and the NFL and as always it was entertaining and informative! Check it out here.

I want to take this time to let you know about some great new things happening at the website. First, we are pleased to introduce a new partner that will be part of a new category on the home page. Littlearth Productions, a Pittsburgh-based company that specializes in NFL fan gear for women will be helping us launch a category specifically for the Ladies of the Steelers’ Nation. Littlearth is also the manufacturer of the Terrible Towel!

Also, we are opening up the Voice of the Fan category to anyone who would like to submit their thoughts on the Steelers. Submissions will be made to me through the site email account contactscblitz@gmail.com. While top writing skills aren’t necessary, I would prefer well put together pieces of 600 words or less. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts outside of just the shoutbox. There are no guarantees on what submissions are printed.

Tweet of the Day…. Big Ben campaigning for Cam Heyward who is the Steelers’ Walter Payton Man of the Year Candidate.

More great stuff from Steelers’ linebacker Arthur Moats who continues to do great stuff off the field.

I really do love people who hate on Ben Roethlisberger for any number of reasons. These are the same people who will be bitching when the Steelers are spending years looking for another franchise QB.

Indy QB Matt Hasselbeck is 4-0 as a starter this season. That isn’t why I’d prefer Andrew Luck starting instead of him though. Luck typically turns the ball over two to three times per game. For a defense that could use some turnovers Luck would have perhaps been a better option.

The Colts by the way had over a dozen players on their “Did Not Practice” list yesterday.

Have a great day Steelers’ Nation!
