The Steelers will practice today from 10145-1230pm. This will be their final practice until they return on Monday the 23rd.
With no game this weekend there was not a Mike Tomlin Press Conference. Obviously.
At the BYE, here are the Steelers official ranks through ten games:
Total Offense: 2nd, Rushing Offense: 3rd, Passing Offense: 8th
Total Defense: 29th, Rushing Defense: 13th, Passing Defense: 30th
Plus/Minus: +5 (6th in the NFL)
Those stats are based strictly on yardage so we must consider the fact the Steelers are among four teams who have not yet had their BYE week.
It’s easy to criticize Mike Tomlin and the front office when personnel decisions go badly, but we must find it within ourselves to give praise when things work. One such move was bringing Anthony Chickillo up to the 53-man roster. There were as many as four teams getting ready to pluck him from the practice squad when the Steelers reacted. Whether Chickillo goes on to be an all-pro or just a role player we don’t know but when other teams like a guy that much, there must be something there and he looked good on Sunday.
Tweet of the Day… DW giving this young Steelers’ fan some love.

I think, and I stress “think,” Maurkice Pouncey will return this season. Whether or not it is in time for the Seattle game I do not know.
As much as the BYE week is about the players getting healthy and rested, I think the same goes for fans. We really do invest a lot of time and energy in our team so make sure you take time to breathe a little on this weekend without the Steelers.
Have a great Wednesday Steelers’ Nation!
