SCB Steelers Quick Hitters for 10/29/15

by Steeldad

The Steelers will practice today from 1-3pm ET.

Latest Injury News: Garvin (knee), Gay (shoulder), Harrison (non-injury related), Miller (non-injury related), Spaeth (non-injury related) All Did Not Practice, W. Allen (ankle), Vick (leg) Limited in Practice, Roethlisberger (knee) Full Participant

The Bengals by the way are extremely healthy which isn’t totally surprising coming off the bye week. Cornerback Leon Hall was limited with a sore back and that was it.

If you’ve been a Steelers’ fan for any length of time then you know our quarterback can be a bit “dramatic” when it comes to his injuries. Yesterday, Roethlisberger did little to lose that tag. When asked about whether he would play for certain on Sunday he said, “I have my doubts.” Write it down; he will be starting.

Steelers’ runing back Le’Veon Bell was glad to have Big Ben back and said “He looked real good” after practice Wednesday.

Tweet of the Day… I agree

Interesting discussion with SCB writer Chris this morning. We were talking about how Jarvis Jones went to us in the first and a few picks later the Bengals took tight Tyler Eifert. That 2013 first round was pretty awful overall.

Make sure you get your eye black ready and join us this Sunday. #StandWithCam

In case you missed it, Ross Ventrone signed with the Patriots. His importance on special teams can’t be stated enough. While he was battling a small injury I would still prefer him over other players still on the roster.

The Steelers are looking for their fourth straight win over Cincinnati on Sunday.

This goes without saying but the Steelers need to create turnovers and half to tackle well on Sunday. The ‘bend-don’t-break’ defense is nice but if you can’t tackle and turn the other team over it’s going to be a long day.

Have a great day Steelers Nation!
