The Steelers are back from their day off and will practice today from 115-315pm Eastern.
Look for news bites around 4pm that will no doubt detail how Ben Roethlisberger’s practice went.
I’m really not sure what the big secret is about Maurkice Pouncey. Mike Tomlin refused to confirm or deny whether Pouncey had a second surgery on his ankle during his press conference. I guess I don’t really understand all the secrecy. He’ll either be available when he’s eligible or he won’t.
Mike Tomlin also said he’s “comfortable” with Brandon Boykin playing if William Gay, who is dealing a shoulder, can’t go. I’m biting my tongue on this one.
Hot off the presses is the Blitz Podcast from SCB and Body Tech Gym in North Hills Pittsburgh. Talking all things Steelers!
I continue to be impressed with Marcus Gilbert this season. Like most offensive tackles, the less you hear his name the better he must be doing. Gilbert has absorbed the most of any lineman from OL Coach Mike Munchak.
Tweet of the Day… It goes without saying that these two need big days on Sunday.

If the jury is still out on Steelers’ Defensive Coordinator Keith Butler then I think this week goes a long ways towards defining just how good he is. With the possibility of Stephon Tuitt and William Gay out, how Butler finds ways to limit the Bengals’ high-powered offense will be very interesting to me.
This is no big surprise but the weakness of the Bengals is the defense. They have given up 370 yards per game and they give up almost six yards per play. That tells me that Le’Veon Bell could feast on this defense.
