Ryan Clark not Helping Himself

by Steelbydesign

6414852Much of Steeler nation applauded Antonio Brown’s comments on Ryan Clark over the weekend (myself included). Marc commented on that in a write up here if you’re not aware of what was said.

Brown could have told Clark to button it right away, or gone to Clark privately, but I didn’t see Brown’s comments as typical media bashing. I think he was asked a question, and he answered it.

I also think that this wasn’t just Brown creating drama, I think that he sees a problem with the state of the locker room, and wants to right this ship. I’m glad that the last remaining member of the “young money crew” seems to be growing up before our very eyes.

Ryan Clark wasted no time in responding to his former teammate’s comments on twitter. His first tweet was innocent enough saying Antonio Brown can feel and say anything about me he’d like. We all have opinions. I’m not bitter and I’m not mad at him. Wish him the best!”

However, Clark did sound a little bitter in his next tweet, making a person attack on Antonio saying My family babysat for Antonio and my wife planned his son’s birthday party. He’s not smart enough to realize what a good teammate is!

Ouch.

I think that Ryan Clark is confusing being a good guy, with being a good teammate. So Ryan helped out Antonio off the field, that’s great… but using his knowledge of the Steelers locker room to advance his second career (at the expense of former teammates) is just not being a good teammate.

…but maybe I’m just too dumb as well, according to Ryan Clark.

This to me, came off as a childish response from Ryan Clark. It will be pretty ironic if Clark takes to Sportscenter to address the feud.

I think that Ryan should probably tread lightly though, given that he did actually sign a new contract with the Redskins.

If you’re a new teammate of Clark’s, are you really going to want to open up to him, and accept him as a part of your team after seeing what he did to Antonio Brown and the rest of his Steelers’ teammates?

Something tells me that Clark isn’t really “#done,” but he should probably choose his words more carefully.

it’s really great to see antonio brown show us where he stands with the white fans. and i don’t mean his comments about ryan clarkand i don’t mean his very questionable step-outs in key situations. i’m talking about his signing with the black racist sport agent jz. yes the jz who proudly displays the black racist emblam at basketball games in ny and la. yeah the outfit that believes all white people are devils and all black men are gods. oh yeah! when ab saw this he couldn’t wait to fire one of the best sport agents and go with the black racist agent. hey sign me up for 2 more season passes and throw in acouple of AB jersys.

As far as I know at the moment, AB has not signed with anyone. Yes, it looks like he is in negotiations with Roc Nation, but as of right now it isn’t a done deal. Was wondering what emblem you are talking about. Can you paste it or share a link to it? Thanks.
