I don’t know which member of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ organization is responsible for teaching the players how to use social media but he or she should be fired. Clearly their teaching methods aren’t working after Martavis Bryant joined Le’Veon Bell in being a complete bonehead when using Twitter.
Last week, Bell took to social media to apologize for being suspended (again) and ended up saying far more than he should have. He revealed when he last smoked marijuana and in turn, may have created more problems for himself.
Not to be outdone however was the currently suspended Bryant who chose Twitter to defend himself from what he saw as an attack by ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.
this is coming from someone who never put on a helmet …:.. We will see who gets the last laugh it ain't over!

Bryant has every right to defend himself. I would never tell him he doesn’t but sometimes you have to just know when to leave well enough alone. Nothing good was going to come from his response. I am not a Stephen A. Smith fan either. I think he’s an instigator and a guy who likes to bait people (as he did here), but he’s also a smart guy too. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
Therefore it was no surprise when he responded to Bryant.
That's on you bro, @ThaBestUNO. Not me. And I'm a @steelers fan. A Mike Tomlin fan. So ain't a damn person laughing this way.@FirstTake

Smith is absolutely right. Bryant is the one who messed up and he may end up costing this team in the long run. Furthermore, I doubt he’s the only one who questioned the hiring of Bryant as a coach for a high school football team. I’m guessing there are more than a few parents on that team wondering why a guy suspended for a full season for marijuana use is going to be around their kids.
But really, none of this would matter had Martavis Bryant just let things be. He’s on a one-year suspension from the NFL and during this time he is supposed to be doing the things necessary to get himself in the right frame of mind. This way, he can get back on the field and hopefully he’ll make better choices when it comes to using drugs that aren’t allowed by the NFL.
Unfortunately Bryant fell into the same trap that Bell did by taking to social media and in my opinion they have both come out looking like idiots. Ya, I’ve tweeted some dumb stuff in my time too but I’m, not under the microscope the way these guys are.
Please fellas, just delete your accounts already.
