Is There Hope of Le’Veon Bell Winning His Appeal?

by Steelbydesign

All has been quiet from Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell since reports came on Friday of him facing a 4 game suspension for potentially missing multiple drug tests.

Until this morning…

One fan photoshopped a picture of Bell, replacing his helmet with a gas mask bong like the one Dolphins’ rookie was wearing in his infamous video released on draft night, and posted it to instagram.

There still could be the famous “I got hacked” defense, but, a post from Le’Veon’s instagram account said “I am not going to miss games, trust me. I’m gonna win the appeal…ppl have no idea what happened but don’t worry…let em hate. When I end up missin no games at all, ppl for sure gonna try to love me again and I’m only ridin with my LOYAL fans!!”

This seems to be doubling down on Bell’s comments from his own mouth at minicamp, when he said he hadn’t missed or failed any tests.

History says when an athlete denies something like this, more often than not, they’re lying.

However, for Bell to so publicly deny the allegations seems to provide some glimmer of hope that maybe he does have something up his sleeve for the appeal. Perhaps Bell did miss a test and thinks he has a good reason, that the NFL may not agree with.

To Le’Veon’s comment about loyalty, well you’ve given everyone reason to not give you the benefit of the doubt, so that’s how it goes.

Fingers crossed that Bell makes us all look silly.
